Hi, I'm Joe
I teach beginner and intermediate percussionists how to level up their skills in a fun and creative way! Students are encouraged to try new things, explore new areas of percussion, and bring questions and ideas to each lesson. Using my background as both a music teacher and a percussion performer, I craft an individual approach for each student.

More About Me
I opened my private studio at the Campbelltown Academy of Music and Arts in 2023. I previously taught percussion lessons as a graduate student, and I've taught percussion for marching bands since 2017. I've been a classroom music teacher since 2021, teaching ages PreK through 8th grade. Most of my performances are either drum/percussion parts in musicals or playing drum set with my band, All Systems Go.
I have a Bachelors degree in Music Education (Millersville Univeristy) and a Masters degree in Music Performance (Indiana University of PA). In addition to my active teaching certificate, I am CPR certified and a member of organizations like the Percussive Arts Society (PAS), Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the National Associate of Music Education (NAfME). When I'm not teaching or playing music, you can find me spending quality time with my wife Sara, watching TV (especially Philadelphia Eagles games and anything Star Wars), attending Sunday mass, reading a book, and going on walks.
